(4) When Windows bitches about not being able to create a shortcut in this special folder you - because YOU, the OWNER of the freakin' computer, don't have permission - select "Yes you dumb #@%$ing shit, create a shortcut on my freakin' Desktop!" (seriously, it's a real button!)
(5) Right-click on your brand new shortcut on your Desktop, choose "Properties," and set-up the Shortcut keys as normal.
(6) Cuss Paul Allen & Bill Gates.

Keep Mouse from Waking-up Computer

Not sure why, but I have a Logitech Performance MX mouse and Windows installs a bunch of mouse drivers. It varies as to how many, so "a bunch" is as specific as I'm getting. Anyway, the default is for every device to wake the computer when it triggers an event.

Sometimes I forget to turn-off the mouse before I close the lid. Turning off the mouse is an event. The laptop wakes. I hate it when that happens! And the setting in the mouse software seems to be as usueless as the hind teat on a boar hog. Therefore…

Device Manager → Mouse → Properties → Power Management: uncheck "Allow this device to wake…" on every mouse device.

Now, wasn't that convenient?
